Trimble Access - Hoops Error

Trimble Access - Hoops Error

Problem: Hoops error in stakeout mode when switching to map view.

Solution:  The Hoops application mentioned in the error message is a 3D visualization API that is used by Trimble Access in the 3D map. The error could indicate that either Hoops wasn't installed properly or more likely a component required by hoops wasn't installed.

This can be caused by direct X not being installed.

Customer to download/install direct X on tablet. Use website https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=35

If this does not fix the problem then the next step will be to uninstall all components of Trimble Access by using Settings, System, Apps & Features. If they only have Trimble access install they can probably just uninstall everything that starts with Trimble, with the exception of Trimble Installation Manager. If they have other Trimble products installed then they may need to exercise more caution (use the install dates to work out what applications to uninstall). Once they have uninstalled Trimble Access they can then reinstall it making sure that nothing other than Trimble Installation Manager is running.
