Trimble RTS/S/SPS: Field Columnation


Problem: Steps for performing a field columnation on Trimble robotic instrument.

Solution: To perform a Tracker Collimation.  
  1. Set up a deadman (flat prism, on a tribrach attached to a tripod) at 100m. 
  2. Set up the instrument on the same line as the deadman. 
  3. Level instrument, and turn it on. 
  4. On the countdown screen, select setup, and level by hitting the furthest right button on instrument keypad. 
  5. Level instrument with bubble. 
  6. Once level select setup. 
  7. Scroll down to adjustments, and select it. 
  8. Scroll down to Tracker collimation, and select it. 
  9. Follow directions on screen, and make sure crosshairs are lining up in the middle of the prism. 
  10. If lining up on the prism correctly, run the test by following prompts on screen.
